Ontario's electrical safety regulator sets terms for plug-in kits

The Electrical Safety Authority will accept plug-in solar equipment certified to UL 3700 until the Canadian standard is published. A kit must plug into a dedicated outlet on a suitable circuit. A kit plugged into an existing household outlet is not accepted in Ontario.
